Forsyth Technical Community College is seeking an energetic, student-centered Part-Time Recruiter to support the recruitment and onboarding of prospective students. This role will serve as a vital liaison for students navigating the enrollment process, with a focus on Residency Determination Service (RDS), college application completion, and FAFSA support. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with students and campus partners, helping students discover the programs and opportunities available at Forsyth Tech.

Required:

- Associate Degree or Higher or two (2) years of relevant experience. Note: Degrees and hours must be from a college accredited by a US Dept. of Education accepted accrediting agency such as SACSCOC.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; strong attention to detail; demonstrated ability to interact successfully with diverse populations.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and projects and handle deadlines and changing priorities, attention to details and follow through.
- Flexibility to attend some evening and weekend recruitment events.

Essential Duties
- A minimum of one (1) year experience in student recruitment, advising, counseling, or support services in a high school, community college, or higher education setting.
- Knowledge of the College for North Carolina Resources (CFNC), formerly known as the College Foundation of North Carolina.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruitment and Outreach:
- Collaborate with the Director of Recruitment to develop and implement strategic recruitment plans aimed at increasing enrollment and awareness of Forsyth Tech’s offerings.
- Represent the college at recruitment events, including high school visits, college fairs, community outreach programs, and application drives.
- Support partnerships with local schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to expand recruitment efforts and foster awareness of Forsyth Tech’s programs.
- Facilitate guided campus tours that include detailed overviews of college programs, services, and resources.
- Support walk-in prospective students by offering on-the-spot assistance with the application, enrollment steps, and onboarding process to ensure a seamless introduction to Forsyth Tech.
- Track and report outreach efforts and student engagement to help measure the success of recruitment activities.
Services:
- Provide individualized support to prospective students in completing the Residency Determination Service (RDS) process for in-state tuition eligibility and the college application.
- Offer guidance and group workshops on completing the college application.
- Assist students with exploring academic programs and career pathways to ensure they make informed decisions that align with their goals.
