Overview
Provides clerical support for the Fort Bend County JJAEP/JLA Programs to ensure effective work flow. Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department. This position is located at the Arcola, TX. location.
Responsibilities
- Types correspondence, prepare reports, letters, and documents. Assists in audit preparation. Maintains files and records. Enters data into computer. Assists with preparation of statistical reports. Notarizes paperwork for department.
- Acts as receptionist when needed. Assists JJAEP/JLA Administrative Assistant, JJAEP/JLA Director and JJAEP/JLA Site Supervisors with day-to-day paperwork. Provide general support and assistance to staff at the Arcola, TX location.
- Assists in maintaining site inventories. Assists in ordering supplies for sites. May pick up mail, as necessary and perform other duties as assigned.
- Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED and a knowledge of basic record-keeping and general secretarial principles/procedures.
- Three (3) years job related experience.
- Good computer, word processing, record-keeping, and typing skills (typing minimum of 35 WPM); proficient with MS Office; ability to organize and prioritize own work.
- Good verbal and written communication skills; bilingual helpful
- Iinterpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with others
- Valid Texas Driver’s License.
SALARY: Part-Time, $18.75/hour, 29 hours/week
