Job Summary
The Dental Front Desk Liaison serves as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a positive and seamless experience from check-in to check-out. This role is responsible for managing patient appointments, verifying insurance information, processing payments, and maintaining patient records. The liaison also plays a key role in managing phone inquiries, addressing patient concerns, and facilitating communication between the dental team and patients. With excellent customer service skills, the Dental Front Desk Liaison ensures smooth day-to-day operations and a welcoming atmosphere, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the dental practice.
Duties
- Greet and assist patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries.
- Utilize Dental scheduling software, Open dental, to coordinate patient appointments effectively.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage clerical tasks related to Dental office management.
- Provide support for administrative functions, including filing, data entry, and correspondence.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all interactions.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Dental terminology and familiarity with dental office systems is essential.
- Experience with phone systems and clerical duties in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of Dental scheduling practices and software such as open Dental, Carestack and Dentrix is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in Dental office management or coding is advantageous but not required.
