The Assistant Principal assists the principal of an individual school to ensure high standards of student performance in a safe learning environment that supports delivery of the approved curricula and meets the mission and vision of the school.
Position Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Instructional Leadership and School Management
- Provide instructional leadership for the campus including analyzing data and developing plans to increase student achievement with the principal
- Assist with the coordination and implementation of the District approved curriculum in all courses
- Participate in developing the Campus Improvement Plan and assist with the curriculum-related activities such as program development and evaluation
- Analyze available data for the development and implementation of campus specific staff development
- Monitor student behavior, enforce discipline rules, and devise systems to support positive student behavior
- Coordinate and maintain a system for tracking student attendance and tardiness by enforcing district attendance policies
