JOB SUMMARYMaintenance Tech is a full-time position responsible for maintaining the country club's day-to-day building maintenance and preventative maintenance. The Maintenance Tech performs maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, environmental, safety, custodial, and event coordination tasks. This position requires a team player attitude, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and project coordination. This highly hands-on position requires the ability to work varying shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to the Facilities Manager and communicates daily on Club operations. Oversees personnel and makes recommendations to the Facilities Manager concerning personnel and property maintenance.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance
Responsible for keeping all facilities and surrounding areas, including indoor and outdoor facilities, clean and well-maintained.
Maintains facilities associated with the clubhouse, pool facility, tennis/pickleball courts, golf course restrooms, and fitness center by closely monitoring equipment and completing necessary testing as required. Also maintains accurate records of all maintenance repairs. Performs repairs and preventative maintenance as needed.
Perform all work related to the maintenance of Club buildings, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, custodial, painting, security, and kitchen equipment.
Be responsible for daily inspections of the property and facilities. Ensure all necessary campus maintenance has been performed to the highest standards, including outdoor tennis courts, swimming pool, gazebo, and grounds, and daily upkeep of the swimming pool.
Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries. Moves furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested.
Housekeeping
Helps housekeeping staff with the proper techniques and expectations.
Assist in sweeping, vacuuming, and trash collection on days when housekeeping staff needs assistance.
Provides custodial/housekeeping needs of the Club.
Monthly cleaning of the facilities and maintaining cleanliness standards across the campus.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in facilities management.
General construction knowledge and carpentry experience are a plus.
Strong work ethic and ability to operate efficiently in a team environment.
Private Club experience preferred but not required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrates positive leadership and staff management skills.
Must be self-motivated and willing to serve the membership and fellow departments.
Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required and willing to work long hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business requirements and operational needs.
Positive attitude, team player/builder, and professional appearance.
Must be able to exemplify the highest standards of honesty and integrity.
Valid driver’s license.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS
Must be able to work in a busy environment, able to work in hot, sunny, cool, cold, and/or rainy conditions.
Ability to work a varied schedule according to business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and available to take after-hours phone calls regarding Club business.
Independent mobility throughout the Club property.
Manual dexterity to utilize tools.
Hearing and speaking sufficiently to communicate with members, guests, and coworkers.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general instructions, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, members, and vendors.
Bending, squatting, lifting 50 lbs. or more, constant standing, turning, and walking.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
$18 - $19.50/hr, DOE
