What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Utility position at Fort De Soto Hospitality, LLC?
Fort De Soto Hospitality operates a variety of concessions and rentals in the park, located in Pinellas County. We're looking for energetic team members that will play a vital role in providing guests an enjoyable experience while visiting the park. From kayak and bike rentals, snacks, beach supplies and souvenirs, we are the premium park vendor. The beachy atmosphere promotes a fun and ideal workspace immersed in the natural beauty of the park and surrounding waters.
$17 / Hour
Responsibilities:
- Duties may include grounds maintenance, bike maintenance and general facility maintenance for the various structures on the property
- Perform assigned maintenance and mechanical duties for buildings and associated facilities, furnishings and equipment as requested
- Capable of “hands on repairs”
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures including when lifting, climbing, etc.
- Be available to assist other team members with maintenance related tasks
- Polite, knowledgeable and timely customer service when responding to visitor inquiries
Position Requirements:
- Demonstrate basic skill in the use of tools, materials and equipment common to maintenance and repair
- Understand and effectively follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally
Education:
- High school Diploma or equivalent Technical certification/degree preferred
- Experience: 1 year of general maintenance and/or construction
- State or National Park experience preferred
