Position: Hotel Public Safety Officer
Department: Hotel Public Safety
Reports To: Hotel Public Safety Manager
Salary Grade: G7-G8 /S 1-3 DOE (Depending on Experience)

Key Responsibilities:
- Safety and Security: Patrol parking lots, work special events, and concerts to mitigate illegal activity on property. Report irregularities, damages, tampering, vandalism, or suspicious activities.
- Communication: Use phones and radios to safeguard all gaming and hotel equipment and property. Generate electronic and/or written reports regarding security-related incidents.
- Guest Services: Provide escorts to guests and team members, observe guest and team member activities, and interact positively and professionally.
- Hazard Management: Identify potential safety hazards and prepare written reports for proper resolution. Become familiar with hazardous materials used on property.
- Emergency Coordination: Coordinate situations with security team members or emergency personnel and inform outside agencies of any unusual or suspicious situations.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; CPR/AED and TIPS certification obtained during the introductory period.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in security, hospitality, or law enforcement preferred; bicycle patrol training certificate preferred.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups.
- Certificates and Licenses: Must maintain an Idaho Driver’s License and qualify for Fleet Management coverage.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while working under pressure.
- Ability to be mobile, run, walk upstairs, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
- Public work environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, tobacco smoke, and airborne particles.
- Moderate noise level, increasing to loud on the casino floor.
