What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Tire Service Technician position at Fort Harrison Truck Tire Center?
Fort Harrison Truck Tire Center is looking for a hard-working, self-motivated individual to add to our team. We offer commission, paid time off and a 401K program.
The technician will be required to service and repair tires on semi's, trailers, dump trucks as well as other large commercial vehicles. Tasks include mounting and dismounting tires, flat repairs, balancing, loading and unloading trucks and housekeeping in the shop and warehouse areas. Upon completion of training, technician will be required to do service calls, we offer 24/7 service. Service calls consist of being on call every 3-4 weeks starting Tuesday at 8 am until the following Tuesday at 8 am. The Saturday of the call week, the tech will be required to work 8 am-Noon. Technicians will receive commission on labor they bill monthly.
The commercial tire service technician is a physically demanding position. Due to the physical nature of the position, candidates must be able to lift 75-100 pounds and mounted tires up to 200 pounds. Candidate will need to be able to stack, unstack and load tires. They must also abide by all our safety guidelines.
Candidates MUST HAVE a valid driver's license, with a good driving record.
Pay will be based on experience. Experience is not required, but preferred.
Off the Road (OTR) experience is a PLUS.
