Fort HealthCare is a patient-centered hospital and healthcare system serving individuals, families, and businesses in Jefferson, Dane, and Walworth Counties. We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting Team.

80 hours per bi-weekly pay period

The Senior Accountant performs financial analysis, audit, and forecast functions in connection with maintaining the financial records of the hospital, clinics and foundation.
Responsibilities of this position include:
Lead the month-end close process. Perform and review account reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Prepares financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and statement of cash flow in accordance with GAAP.
Perform monthly revenue and expense variance review, identifying variances from forecasted amounts.
Takes a lead role in the annual forecast. Assists department leaders in the completion of their department forecasts.
Coordinates and supports the annual financial statement audit, ensuring timely and accurate information is provided.
Prepares Form 990 schedules and supporting workpapers.
Assists the Controller with projects as needed.
Performs ad-hoc reporting and analysis, as needed.
Requirements of this position include:
Associate's degree with 5 years of experience or Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience required.
Healthcare experience preferred.
Must possess high level of computer knowledge; ability to proficiently use a calculator.
CPA preferred.
