Fort Kent Animal Hospital is seeking a full time customer service representative (receptionist) to expand our staff. Our small animal hospital places an emphasis on compassionate care and client education to help our patients live healthy lives with their families. We’re looking for a team player with excellent communication skills that can work well with their fellow employees, enjoys people as well as animals, and takes pride in their work.

The job duties include:

• Providing excellent customer service for clients
• Answering phone calls; including screening for services needed
• Scheduling and confirming appointments
• Checking clients in and out
• Updating and maintaining accurate client and patient records
• Checking emails, scanning documents, attaching files
• Assisting with prescription requests
• Keeping the front lobby and exam rooms clean and organized
• Assisting with retail inventory and inventory receiving

Requirements:

• High school graduate or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service/reception positions.
• Preference given for having Veterinary or Medical experience.
• Strong computer skills.
• Strong communication skills with both clients and staff
• Must be a team player but also able to work efficiently independently
• Possess excellent time-management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize
• Flexible and have a strong attention to detail.
• Positive, friendly and compassionate demeanor
• Willing to work hands-on with dogs and cats

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Starting at $17.00 per hour
