Fort Kent Animal Hospital is seeking a full or part time veterinary assistant to expand our staff. Experience preferred but we are willing to train someone with a good work ethic and eagerness to learn. Our small animal hospital places an emphasis on compassionate care and client education to help our patients live healthy quality lives with their families. We’re looking for a team player with excellent communication skills that can work well with their fellow employees, enjoys people as well as animals and takes pride in their work. Duties to include assisting with admissions, performing diagnostics with our full in-house laboratory and digital radiography (full body and dental), coordinating and documenting treatments, surgeries and dental procedures, communicating with pet owners, maintaining and trouble-shooting equipment, and generally lending a hand wherever your team members need assistance. Applicants must be able to lift 50lbs and be comfortable on their feet for extended periods of time.

Pay: Starting at $17.00 per hour
