Visiting Assistant Professor of Management (Quantitative Business)

Position Summary:

This position will support the growing demand for Quantitative Business courses commonly taken by students in ACC, BA, CIS and ECON programs. This position is split between teaching in the Katz School of Business (75% of position time) and AI special topics assignments within the Office of the Provost (25% of position time).

Job Description:

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Teach 3 courses per semester in the Katz School of Business (75% of position time).
  • Contribute to AI special topics assignments within the Office of the Provost (25% of position time).
  • Maintains knowledge and awareness of digital accessibility including the American with Disabilities Act and Section 508.
  • Produces and remediates digitally accessible materials in accordance with FLC standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Required Education, Specialized Skills and Experience:

  • PhD/DBA in Business or a related field.  Candidates who are ABD with promise of degree completion within one academic year will be considered
  • Demonstrated teaching excellence
  • Demonstrated record of scholarship

 

 

Preferred Education, Specialized Skills and Experience:

  • Interest in teaching multiple courses in quantitative business such as Business Statistics, Operations Management, Business Analytics, Python and/or Project Management
  • Demonstrated success of working in a diverse environment
  • Work experience Data Analysis, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or another quantitative field
  • PhD/DBA from an AACSB accredited business school or PhD from an ABET accredited engineering school

Compensation

The salary for this position is $65,000 for non-terminal degree, $76,500 terminal degree, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
