Job summary
We are seeking a compassionate and attentive CNA to provide personal care services for residents in our long-term care facility. The shower aide ensures the comfort, dignity, and safety of residents during bathing routines, helping to maintain their health and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist resident with bathing, including transfers in and out of showers or tubs.
- Ensure residents' safety and privacy throughout the bathing process.
- Provide support with dressing, grooming and other hygiene tasks as needed.
- Monitor skin integrity and report any concerns to the nursing team.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of shower rooms and equipment.
- Follow infection control and facility protocols to ensure a sanitary environment.
- Communicate effectively with residents to provide comfort and reassurance.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to document care provided.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Previous experience in caregiving, personal care, or a similar role (preferred)
- Ability to lift and transfer residents safely, following facility protocols.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude toward working with elderly or disabled individuals.
- Knowledge of hygiene and infection control practices.
- Certification as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant)
