JOB TITLE: Buffet Supervisor
DEPARTMENT NAME: WCR Food and Beverage
REPORTS TO: WCR Buffet Manager
SALARY: $23.00
POSITION STATUS: Regular Full-Time EXEMPT
HOURS PER WEEK: 40
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Oversees front-of-the-house operations for the restaurant.
Ensure all guests receive exceptional service, promptly addressing any issues or complaints.
Responsible for personnel functions, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and asset preservation.
Supervises buffet front-of-the-house team members, including servers, busser IIs, and cashiers.
Assist with training new team members and provide ongoing training to existing team members.
Responsible for implementing training for their department and providing accountability on all approved standard operating procedures approved by the Food and Beverage Director.
When directed by the Food and Beverage Assistant Director, will supervise special events and perform other related duties as required.
Must be familiar with various computer-generated reports and must be able to evaluate them to maximize revenues in the department.
Knows all pertinent health and safety laws as required in the operation of the food facility.
Informs subordinates of changes to the policies and procedures of the Casino and Food and Beverage Department.
Communicates with other departments to coordinate activities and promote effective interdepartmental relations.
Must be able to fill in and oversee other areas of the Food and Beverage operation based on direction from the Food and Beverage Assistant Director.
Will know about the Stratton Warren System.
Must exercise good judgment, as errors could prove costly to the food facility.
Must have a valid food handlers’ certification and HACCP, as well as DRAM Shop training.
Must comply with pertinent OSHA safety regulations for the Job position.
Performs other related duties as required by the department.
Must be able to obtain and maintain State/Tribal License (including extensive background check).
Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

While working on the casino floor, the employee is exposed to high noise levels daily.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 3 years experience in a buffet-style restaurant
Strong leadership and communication skills
Self-motivated with attention to detail
Must be certified or obtain certification and training in Title IV and Title 31.
4-Diamond resort or casino experience preferred.
