Perioperative Nurse Educator Job Description:
Fort Mill Medical Center seeks a qualified PeriOp Nurse Educator to enhance the knowledge and skills of nursing personnel.
This educator will collaborate with facility/market nursing leadership and staff across departments to design, implement, and evaluate educational programs for all levels of nursing personnel.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing educational needs of assigned units/clinics
- Implementing comprehensive education programs to meet orientation and ongoing competency needs
- Providing consultation to enhance continuing education opportunities
Additional responsibilities include providing leadership to preceptors, serving as a role model through coaching and mentoring, and actively mentoring nurse residents to support their growth in the profession and clinical practice.
Required qualifications include 2 years of clinical experience in Surgery, preferably in outpatient, PACU, and sterile processing settings. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required, with an MSN degree being preferred. Certification as CNOR is expected when CCI criteria are met.
