Harbor's Edge is a premier 5-star, resort-style Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located alongside the beautiful harbor in Norfolk, Virginia. Our community consists of 300 Independent Living Residential Units, a 33-bed (Medicare / private) Skilled Nursing Healthcare Unit, a 33-bed Assisted Living Unit, and 15-bed Memory Support Unit.
We are looking for passionate, highly qualified full-time RN Supervisor (7P-7A) to join our Skilled Nursing Healthcare and Assisted Living / Memory Support Teams to deliver excellent care for our residents. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of five (5) years of long-term care nursing experience as well as at least three (3) years of nursing supervisory experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Supervise delivery of excellent nursing care by staff ensuring accurate, timely treatment, medication administration, and documentation, in compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Provide direct care of residents as needed, conduct admissions and discharges. Ensure timely and accurate treatment, medication administration, and documentation. Observe residents for change in condition and report any changes to Physician, Unit Manager and / or Director of Nursing.
- Conduct admissions and discharges for residents according to facility procedure. Conduct nursing audits to include weekly chart audits, monthly summaries, and other audits as assigned in the Healthcare and AL / MS units.
- Make rounds on all care units to ensure staffing patterns are adequate per census / state regulations and that members of the healthcare staff are compliant with providing resident care per Harbor's Edge policy and procedures and state / federal regulations.
- Participate in variety of resident care meetings : Care plan and family meetings with members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Verify emergency equipment is in working order. Respond to E- calls, as assigned. (Responding to all units)
- Conduct variety of nursing audits including weekly chart audits and monthly summaries.
- Ensure proper coordination with the Medical director, physicians, staff, residents / families, consultants, vendors, etc.
- Coordinate nursing services with other resident services, to ensure the continuity of the residents' total regimen of care.
- Assist in investigation of incidents and complete all applicable documentation.
