What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual Math Paraeducator Posting position at Fort River?
Fort River Elementary is currently seeking bilingual candidates for a Math Paraeducator. The position will work under the guidance of our math specialists to provide math support to Fort River students, including students in our dual language program. This is a full time paraeducator position for the remainder of the 24-25 school year.
A successful candidate will be enthusiastic about and committed to bilingual education and the program mission. The candidate must be bilingual in English and Spanish (bicultural preferred), able to work effectively with diverse students, exhibit strong communication and collaboration skills, and demonstrate independence and initiative.
The Paraeducator responsibilities include:
- Provide classroom support or work with small, flexible groupings of students in elementary classrooms to support math skill development.
- Administer math assessments accurately and effectively.
- Develop positive relationships and hold high expectations with young learners striving to grow mathematics skills and Spanish language
- Support students to increase engagement and productivity in math by teaching and reinforcing effective habits of student success.
- Work closely with the Math Specialists and classroom teachers to meet the needs of students at different stages of skill development.
