Description

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the facilities operations including, the hiring, training, directing and performance of all personnel in accordance with the organizational structure.
  • Manages daily maintenance and repairs on all building mechanical systems, equipment and tools, public areas, guest rooms and central plant.
  • Writes capital for major repairs and equipment purchases and prepares budgets for yearly department expenditures.
  • Manages maintenance of all HVAC’s, kitchen, electric, and gas, energy management equipment, responsible for access keys to entire property and operation of life safety systems throughout property.
  • Schedule heavy duty teams.
  • Assists Director in ensuring the department meets operation goals. 
  • Manages all outside grounds to include cleaning and maintenance.
  • Ensures consistent, high quality maintenance standards are maintained for the entire property.
  • Creates and maintains a highly professional staff that provides maintenance and cleaning support and excellent team member and customer relations.
  • Plans, implements, control and coordinate policy and procedures in keeping with casino objectives.
  • Ensures that all department team members are adhering to the attendance policy.
  • Ensures that all department team members follow appearance standards.
  • Ensures that all department team members understand the Eye-Hi-Goodbye Program and are complying with the program.
  • Must be knowledgeable and ensures compliance with all applicable safety regulations, laws, and internal policies/procedures.
  • Monitors performance standards regularly and determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
  • Issues written and oral instructions.
  • Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
  • Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.
  • Performs other related duties as may be assigned by reporting senior.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The team member is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The team member must be able to lift a maximum of 30 lbs and push, pull, or drag up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

 

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly exposed to risks associated with travel between buildings and back and forth to other areas as may be required due to business demands. The team member is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, including second-hand environmental smoke. The team member may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with extremely irate or difficult guests or staff members. The noise level in the work environment varies from light to moderate.

 

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Plant Operations or equivalent combination of education and experience required with a minimum of five years of leadership experience in plant maintenance operations.
  • Experience working with and supervising various trades including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC Operations, Controls, Monitoring, and cosmetics support.
  • Experience working and supervising housekeeping functions.
  • Experience with and knowledge of applicable federal, state, and/or local regulatory reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with OSHA Health Live and Safety Standards, Elevator Operations systems, Backup Power Systems, UPS, Flywheel and Generators.
  • Experience with Electronic Locking Systems and Devices, Potable Water Systems, Filtration, Softeners, Hydrostatic Mixing Valves and Pressure Balancing Valves.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of business planning, operational and capital budgeting functions.
  • Strong leadership skills and customer service orientation required.
  • Must be able to work effectively with peers, staff members, and regulatory agency personnel.
  • Strong computer skills to include effective working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products. Knowledge of various life and safety support systems and plant management and energy management and support systems preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, identify and solve problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Certified in: Commercial Fire Suppression Systems (Class 3 Minimum); Equipment Inspection and Certification (up to 50 ton); 10-hour OSHA certified; Commercial Swimming Pool and Spa Certified.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a license from Fort Sill Apache Gaming Commission.
