Job Description :
Guide and manage branch office in providing quality service to members in account transactions, loan applications and new accounts. Solve problems within established policies and guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Maintain a highly motivated, well-trained staff, maintaining effective associate relations while promoting a team environment.
- Recommend, implement, and supervise the budget for the branch.
- Apply policies and procedures for the branch. Ensure that the branch is in compliance with federal laws and regulations set forth by the NCUA and other regulatory agencies.
- Interview and select quality applicants for vacancies, ensuring the credit union is adequately staffed with competent associates.
- Evaluate and document the job performance of branch office staff to ensure quality of work and service to members. Address complaints, resolve issues, assign or direct work, discipline associates and recommend salary changes.
- Work with internal auditor to ensure compliance with internal controls to include required daily, monthly and quarterly audits and reports.
- Monitor branch activity, including number of transactions, volume, teller errors, loan volume, teller and loan personnel sales and new accounts.
- Monitor key products and sales within branch to ensure profitable and sound business practices and a high quality of service for members.
- Manage the security and safety of the branch. Add or delete individuals from the alarm system. Distribute and recover keys, change keypad codes, update the third party alarm provider with changes and maintain logs of activity.
- Monitor the building, property and equipment. Schedule repair and maintenance as needed.
- Ensure that staff receives required training on BSA, security and robbery procedures.
- Schedule adequate staff to ensure efficient branch operation.
- Understand lending guidelines to assist members regarding lending services. Accurately input loan information, create and process loan documents as needed.
- Monitor branch operations to ensure a consistent, professional approach.
- Assist staff or members in solving complex account problems.
- Supervise branch staff, including coaching, development and discipline to help meet sales goals, strict adherence to policies and procedures and to provide exceptional member service.
- Create an environment that encourages associates to provide an exceptional member experience and a dynamic and engaging culture.
- Manage and coach branch associates to engage members and create valuable interactions which will create lasting member relationships.
- Actively identify, coach, develop, motivate and support associates so they can provide superior service to every member.
20. Assist in improving CU revenues and expenses and grow the business while exceeding member expectations by education members on how to use alternate channels / digital platforms to bank on the go.
21. Efficiently manage your time and capacity.
22. Interpret performance results (sales, service, and adhering to policies / procedures) to drive success and hold associates accountable to results.
23. Ensure all associates are performing outbound relationship calls according to guidelines set if applicable.
24. Engage associates and deliver daily Morning Brew content to branch staff, ensure all associates receive information and guidance provided in MB and complete action items when applicable.
25. Perform associate observations to ensure member service expectations are met. Complete observation forms on associates on a consistent basis or as instructed by Chief of Ops and / or Chief of Growth.
26. Communicate standards through consistent one on one conversations with direct reports. (min quarterly)
27. Create an agenda and hold a monthly branch sales staff meeting.
28. Complete annual assigned online training and ensure staff completes theirs by the assigned date.
29. Maintain a current Notary Public license in order to provide notary service to members.
30. Monitor, review, correct if necessary, approve and notify payroll when associate time sheets are ready to process.
31. Balance ATM, Visa debit and various types of Visa credit cards daily.
32. Assist Marketing Director in maintaining correct advertisement in the lobby area. Participate and decorate for credit union or community promotions as required.
33. Research projects as assigned.
34. Ensure branch supplies are ordered.
35. Comply with BSA regulations when performing all job requirements, and stay abreast of updates / requirements of BSA / OFAC / CIP through the completion of training courses assigned annually by trainer as well as meetings discussing BSA compliance activities.

Other Skills : Must have good communication skills, including written, verbal, and public speaking. Creativity and knowledge of target marketing required. Must possess organizational and analytical skills; must be able to coordinate a variety of projects. Must have sales skills and be self-motivated and able to work independently. Must be professional in dress and appearance. Proficient with use of personal computer and applications, including but not limited to spreadsheets, databases, word processing, presentation tools, and online systems. Ability to apply common sense and the ability to reason are expected. Ability to analyze and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents is essential.
Physical skills :
Required to sit, talk and hear. Must be able to stand at events for extended time periods. Required to use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and adjustable focus. Must be able to lift and carry 20-pound objects.
