POSITION TITLE: Hourly Private School Interventionist (After School)
REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Curriculum & Federal Programs
LOCATION: Harvest Time Academy
BEGINNING : January 2025
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience as an Interventionist, preferred.
- Must have a valid Arkansas Professional Teaching License.
- Must have relevant years of successful classroom experience.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of standards-based, data-driven decision making.
- Must be willing to increase knowledge and skills through attending applicable trainings. Some may occur during the summer or after contract hours.
- Must demonstrate ability to provide small group instruction to students in a manner that accelerates achievement.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Meet daily with individual or small groups of identified Title I students. The Interventionist will only serve FSPS Title I eligible students.
- Facilitates the implementation of research-based, best practices designed to meet individual student needs
- Maintains a consistent focus on teaching and learning to high standards
- Collects, coordinates, and analyzes student data related to literacy and math achievement
- Maintains confidentiality
- Maintains records and reports consistently and in an appropriate manner
- Training for this position will be coordinated through the Parker Center. Assistance with planning, data analysis, and instructional implementation will be provided by the Elementary Literacy and Elementary Math Coordinators.
- Abide by state statutes, FSPS school board policies and regulations.
- Attend meetings and performs duties as assigned by administrators or supervisors.
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
- Maintain accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation.
- Frequent district and occasional statewide travel.
- Prolonged and irregular hours; outdoor and indoor work; exposure to sun, heat, cold, and inclement weather.
- Participates in grade level collaboration, planning, as part of PLCs, as well as school committees
- Follows all TESS rubric “proficient” level expectations for their role
- Supervises students on recess, bus, during before and after school duty, on field trips, extracurricular events, and in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned working day
- Attends building events/activities at night, as requested by administration
- Demonstrates the ability to maintain positive professional working relationships with others
- Maintains emotional control under stress
- Abide by state statutes, school board policies, and regulations
- Submit regular reports to the supervisor or coordinato r.
- Present and communicate in a professional manner.
- Maintains prompt and regular attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned
JOB LIMITATIONS
- The Private School Interventionist will serve only those students identified by FSPS as Title I eligible and in an area designated for services. The Private School Interventionist may not be assigned other duties or responsibilities that are applicable to the private school teachers.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Must have the ability to lift at least 40 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to endure prolonged standing, walking, sitting, occasional reaching above the head or the shoulders, bending, squatting, and kneeling.
