Job Summary:
Department of Nursing is seeking part-time clinical instructors for the new Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program. The program will begin Fall 2023.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervision and evaluation of 8-10 nursing student in the hospital, clinic, community, simulation, and lab setting.
- Grade clinical assignments and complete weekly, midterm, and final student evaluations.
- Provide students with timely feedback regarding clinical performance.
- Work in collaboration with the course coordinator
- Attend departmental meetings and in-services.
- Develops a positive relationship with administrators and nursing staff at clinical facilities.
- Comply with policies and procedures set forth by the Department of Nursing and clinical facilities.
- Participate in professional development to remain current in nursing education and practice.
- Acts as a role model for students and peers.
- Exhibits professional and ethical morals, beliefs, and values.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master of Science in Nursing.
- An unencumbered Registered Professional Nurse License in the state of Georgia.
- Three (3) years' experience in professional nursing practice.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a team.
- Successful completion of a background check and urine drug screen.
