Position: Pool Manager
Location: Fort Washington Swim and Tennis Club
Job Type: Seasonal/Full-Time
Reports To: Vice President
Job Summary:
The Pool Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pool and snack bar, including managing staff, creating work schedules, handling money collection, and ensuring proper staff training. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and customer service skills to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Staff Management & Scheduling:
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise lifeguards, front desk attendants, and other pool staff.
- Develop and maintain staff schedules to ensure proper coverage.
- Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and handle any disciplinary actions as needed.
- Lead staff meetings and provide ongoing training to ensure adherence to safety and operational protocols.
2. Money Collection & Financial Oversight:
- Oversee daily financial transactions, including membership fees, guest passes, and concessions (if applicable).
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper handling of all collected funds.
- Prepare daily cash reports and deposits.
- Assist in budget planning and expense tracking.
3. Training & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all staff are properly trained in lifeguarding, CPR, and emergency response procedures.
- Conduct regular in-service training sessions to maintain safety standards.
- Monitor pool conditions, chemical levels, and equipment to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Respond to emergencies and document incidents appropriately.
4. Customer Service & Facility Management:
- Address member and guest concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Enforce pool rules and policies to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment.
- Work with Pool Operations Manager to ensure the pool and facilities remain clean and in good working condition.
- Coordinate with Pool Operations Manager for necessary supplies and repairs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience in pool management, aquatics, or a related field preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of pool safety regulations, lifeguard training, and first aid/CPR.
- Experience with scheduling, staff supervision, and financial management.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and Pool Operator (CPO) preferred or willingness to obtain.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
