Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field required.
- APICS-CPIM or equivalent certification preferred.
Job Responsibilities

- Work with Director to create and articulate a vision, strategy, and goals for logistics’ teams.

- Utilize Pulse (SHINGO) management system to identify KPI’s and drive operational excellence.
- Work with the teams to implement continuous improvement ideas and projects.
- Promotes personal development and engagement of all direct reports.
- Timely completion of bi-monthly performance conversations and implement ideas from feedback.
- Establish optimal schedule for material movement considering facility needs to meet production demand, including but not limited to raw material supply, tooling, spools, and purchased parts.
- Work with warehouse team to organize inventory and implement systems for ease in product identification and efficient movement.
- Regularly meet with cross-functional stakeholders to determine which logistics improvements need to be made to increase productivity levels across the organization.
- Identify and foster ERP system utilization and any other technology improvements across all teams / business processes.
- Research / consolidate customer facing ship methods where possible to reduce freight charges.
- Establish best practices in material handling and transportation across all facilities.
- Set the direction and ensure proper training has occurred for Team Leads to field questions from Customer Service, Inspection, Scheduling, and other Team Leaders.
- Negotiate/maintain vendor agreements with FedEx, UPS, Freight Forwarders, etc.
- Ensure proper procedures and resources are in place to meet the shipment demands of our customers, converters, suppliers, affiliate companies with special consideration for import and export shipments.
- Understanding of trade compliance and work with the Trade Compliance team to ensure proper procedures are followed for export and import shipments in Dispatching, Shipping/Receiving, Purchasing, Sales, and Logistics teams.
- Manage company owned and leased vehicle fleet.
- Understand emerging needs of customer's requirements for product packaging and production orders and work with the business to ensure technology meets the demand.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.

- Maintains an office in a fast-paced environment.

- Sitting and working at a computer for extended periods of time.
