We are seeking the right candidate to tackle the following job responsibilities:
- Thoroughly audit (scrubbing) and process insurance claims ensuring when modifiers are needed
- Correctly interpret and process insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) when posting insurance payments
- Analyzing A/R Aging reports to follow up with insurance companies for past due payments
- Engaging in proactive communication with patients, colleagues, and physicians to address any changes or discrepancies in billing
- Accurately posting insurance and patient payments
- Adhering to all organizational policies and procedures
- Assisting in the training of new team members when necessary
- Demonstrating exceptional communication skills in both verbal and written interactions, maintaining professionalism at all times
We are looking for a well rounded, experienced biller with the following required skills:
- Proficiency in Revenue Cycle Management including interpreting EOBs, aging reports, cash posting
- Understanding of medical billing and coding (E& M codes)
- Knowledge of insurance claims follow up
- Organized and detail oriented coupled with excellent time management
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers thru strong verbal and written communication skills
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively, even under pressure to meet deadlines
- High School Diploma required
In addition, you must consistently adhere to compliance standards, including HIPAA and OSHA regulations, and fulfill all training and continuing education requirements related to compliance.
