Description
Duties and Responsibilities
Operates shuttle vehicle escorting customers to and from the terminal building.
Monitors shuttle request forms and cell phone for arriving passenger needs.
Upon request, will assist wheelchair passengers to the airline ticket counter and from the security exit to their vehicle.
Upon request, will jump start vehicles and pump-up tires.
Assist passengers with transport of baggage.
Answer questions from passengers and drivers.
Maintains required records and submits reports of the number of passengers assisted.
Assists in maintaining cleanliness of terminal area and shuttle vehicle.
Maintains surveillance of parking lot and reports anything unusual (e.g., vandalism, parking gate multifunction, etc).
Assist with special events as directed by the supervisor.
Assist with snow removal as directed by the supervisor.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Abilities :
Ability to stand for upwards of 8 hours.
Ability to work in all type of weather.
Ability to operate motor vehicle.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
Ability to prepare basic reports as required.
Ability to work varied hours and work independently with minimal support.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
Ability to responsibly perform all job duties in compliance with safety and security requirements.
Ability to deal courteously with the public and represent the Airport Authority in professional and friendly manner.
Ability to establish and maintain excellent customer service and effective working relationships with management, supervisors, co-workers, tenants and the general public.
Special Requirements
Posses and maintain a valid driver's license.
Pass a pre-hire drug screen and random alcohol and drug testing.
Pass federal fingerprint based criminal history background check.
Available for recall during non duty hours for emergencies, snow removal or other required duties.
Requirements
Experience and Education Requirements
High school equivalent education with six months to one year of work experience in customer service; requires basic computer operations experience, including email.
Special Requirements
Possess and maintain a valid driver's license
Pass a pre-hire drug screen and random alcohol and drug test
Pass federal fingerprint-based criminal history background check
Available for recall during non-duty hours for emergencies, snow removal, or other required duties
