Entry-Level Accountant
Full-Time position starting yearly salary $60,405.80
Job Overview:
Unique accounting opportunity in a fast growing hospitality business. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Accountant to join our accounting team. As an Entry-Level Accountant, you will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and supporting daily company and administration team operations. Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation of financial statements, reports, and documentation.
Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system (e.g., accounts payable, accounts receivable).
Reconcile bank statements and other financial records to ensure accuracy.
Assist with month-end, quarterlies, and year-end closing processes.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries.
Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
Support operations and management of a variety of hospitality businesses including an independent year round hotel, full service restaurant, significant banquet and wedding operations, candy store, coffee shop, retail store, museum attraction and seasonal bar&grill.
Handle clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry.
Perform other accounting-related duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (or in the process of completing). Years of experience in bookkeeping considered as well as Associates Degree with work experience.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to learn new areas of business a must.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
Preferred Skills:
Previous internship or part-time experience in accounting a plus (preferred but not required).
Familiarity with any full service accounting software a plus. Must know excel and word.
Attention to detail a must.
