Trinity Metro has an immediate opening for an Operations Supervisor. The incumbent in this class performs under the general supervision of the Operations Manager. The responsibilities include supervising operators and drivers in maintaining schedules, observing company regulations, and following safety precautions. The position includes dispatching and scheduling duties. The incumbent assists operators and drivers in unusual situations or emergencies.
This position’s responsibilities include:
- Supervise a staff of 10-15 drivers in the day-to-day operations of the operations department.
- Maintains schedules, observes company regulations, and follows all safety precautions.
- Coordinates and monitors personnel matters, including providing instruction, evaluating performance, coaching, counseling, maintaining standards, and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Assists drivers with any emergency or unusual situations that occur.
- Receives passenger complaints, investigates problems, and responds to the passenger.
- Rotates in dispatch office to schedule.
- Ensures compliance with the Union contract.
- Must be able to work all available shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
REQUIREMENTS
CDL with passenger endorsement
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of three years of supervisory experience or experience in a position directly related to the specified duties and responsibilities.
EDUCATION
Any combination of experience, training, and/or education that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities required for the position.
