Description

The technician will travel in a company vehicle to service and install equipment, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and Removal: Assist in the installation and removal of vending machines, coffee equipment, and market systems (including millwork, countertops, slatwall, and equipment).
- Repairs and Troubleshooting: Diagnose, assess, and repair equipment failures, including electrical, refrigeration, Perform repairs and adjust malfunctioning parts to restore machines to working order.
- Market 24/7 Installations and Maintenance: Manage all aspects of Market 24/7 builds, including plumbing, electrical, cooler, light fixture, and millwork repairs. Ensure coffee equipment and condensing units are maintained.
- Ice Machines: Install ice machines in the field, ensuring compliance with cleaning and sanitizing procedures.
- Field Operations: Transport, install, and replace equipment at customer sites. Perform necessary field repairs and adjustments to equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to customers.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with supervisor and customers to ensure their needs are met. Respond promptly to customer service requests and resolve complaints with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Stock Management: Oversee stock parts in the company vehicle and warehouse. Track inventory and ensure parts are replenished as needed.
- Work with Teams: Collaborate with project managers, warehouse teams, and installation teams to complete installations and repairs efficiently. Assist in preparing equipment for installations, including coffee machine setup.
- Service and Support: Provide customer service and technical support during field visits or dispatches. Work to diagnose errors, test equipment, and find solutions to issues.
- Installations and Buildouts: Install Market 24/7 builds, including setting millwork, countertops, slatwall, and installing equipment. Assist in the overall setup and configuration of new systems.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, including special projects or tasks related to equipment installations and repairs.
High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to perform basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and compute rates and percentages.
- Ability to work independently, stay focused, and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose errors in a variety of systems and equipment.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality service.
- Type I Refrigeration Certification (preferred).
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Frequent lifting of up to 75-100 lbs, and pushing/pulling up to 700 lbs with equipment assistance.
- Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
- Must be comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including extreme weather.
- Must be able to travel to client sites, sometimes with overnight stays within the assigned territory.
- Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Frequent climbing in and out of vehicles and up/down ladders.
- Must be comfortable working on equipment, from setting up to performing repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Must be willing to work extended hours, including weekends and occasional overnight travel for out-of-state repairs.
