Hours:
Full-Time | 1st Shift:
- Monday- Friday (7:00 AM-3:00 PM)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Consistently lead by example and act as a team player
- Perform proper mold cleaning and mold/fixture repairs
- Maintain proper handling and care of tooling, when opening, closing, positioning, and stage molds
- Utilizing correct and appropriate use of machinery (welders, mill, lathe, saws, etc.)
- Using safe and proper application of mold release agents (where, when, what type, and how)
- Using proper methods and materials for cleaning parting lines and tool surfaces, including surfaces with various textures and coatings
- Perform metal work, welding, grinding, machining, etc.
- Ensuring molds and fixtures are in safe and proper working order (stops, receivers, springs, mounting bolts, parting flanges, venting, clamps, pins, bushings, etc.)
- Maintain proper stocking levels of clamps, metal, bolt, vent tubing, etc.
- Maintain an acceptable output of molds/fixtures and keep all in ready-to-run condition
- Assist general maintenance department when needed
- Maintain and log detailed mold repair reports
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Ability to communicate to members of the organization
- Ability to use and understand metrology tools (micrometer, calipers, tape measure, etc.)
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, product drawings, machine specifications, etc.
- Ability to understand and follow the Production Planner, work instructions, bills of materials (BOMs), product drawings, etc.
- Ability to understand, apply, and maintain 5S program procedures
- Ability to use standard maintenance equipment (welders, grinders, saws, stamps, torches, wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, files, scrapers, drills, routers, forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists, lifts, etc.)
- Ability to operate mill, brake press, and shear
- Ability to meet deadlines, perform under deadlines
- Ability to exercise problem-solving skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge and experience working with cast aluminum and fabricated metal molds
- Experience using part measuring devices, calipers, ruler, micrometers
- Experience with welding (Tig, Mig, & Stick)
- Experience operating mill, brake press, and shear
Job Type: Full-time
