Summary/Objective
Radiologic Technologist is responsible for serving a full schedule of patients in a high volume, highly specialized, outpatient orthopedic clinic. Maintaining focus on providing a superior level of customer service and delivering unwavering, exceptional quality care is a must.
The schedule for this part-time position is Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in the Forté Mooresville Orthopedic Clinic. Occasional coverage in our Greenwood clinic may be required.
Essential functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
- Selects length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on an individual patient basis to obtain optimum image quality with lowest amount of radiation.
- Work one-on-one with patient to complete x-rays that are ordered.
- Positions patient and adjusts equipment for performing images following procedures established by Forté Sports Medicine & Orthopedics.
- Follows prescribed safety standards for operating radiology equipment.
- Maintains patient confidentiality as outlined by HIPAA and policies of Forté Sports Medicine and Orthopedics.
- Examines images for film properties such as density, contrast, definition, magnification and distortion

Physical demands
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Moving patients, lifting and helping patients with needs, lifting and moving heavy x-ray equipment, transporting patients
- Frequently on your feet standing and walking
Required education and experience
- Completion of course in Radiologic Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), required
- Current certification with the ARRT and the State of Indiana, required
- Knowledge of computerized radiology (CR), digital radiography (DR), and PACS system, required
Preferred education and experience
- Prior experience using Electronic Medical Records systems is preferred
Travel required
- Travel to Forté clinics in central Indiana as needed.
