Survey CAD Technician
Summary
Primarily responsible for survey plan production on projects that cover a wide range of infrastructure types
Roles and Responsibilities
- Download and process field data in Trimble Business Center (TBC) and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Interpret and plot record deeds and plats for all types of property surveys.
- Prepare all types of surveying plats and exhibit drawings utilizing research and the information gathered in the field.
- Interpret and address the title commitment items per ALTA/NSPS requirements.
- Prepare topographic survey drawing/plats.
- Perform stakeout calculations for construction sites.
- Prepare as-built record drawings for county approvals
- Work well in a team environment
- Work with Land Surveyors, Party Chiefs, Supervisors and Engineers to develop work as required by the client.
Job Requirements
- Associate degree (or higher) in Surveying/Geomatics with 1-2 years of surveying experience
- Registration as a Survey Intern a plus.
- Proficient in latest industry software.
- Experience with Trimble Business Center (TBC) and good understanding of GPS techniques.
- Understanding of surveying laws and state standards for boundary analysis and computations.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office products (Word, Excel) and Google Earth.
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.
