Job Description
- Provides logistics to prepare for, participate in, and complete surgical laser procedures
- Delivers medical equipment to hospitals and surgery centers
- Performs pre-operative checklists, sterilization, and laser calibrations
- Prepares case paperwork and operating room
- Conducts laser inventories
- Demonstrates technical proficiency with Catalys laser and related equipment
- Performs laser calibrations
- Provides technical laser guidance to surgeons/staff before and during surgeries
- Provides service excellence to customers
- Review patient procedure requirements with the surgeon/staff before the case
- Supports staff during the case and ensures a successful case is completed
- Enforces safe vehicle operations, safe workplace practices, and laser safety techniques
Qualifications
- Experience working with surgeons
- Experience in ophthalmic procedures including cataract laser and refractive experience a plus
- Solid understanding of eye anatomy and patient care
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) a plus
- Surgical Technician Certification or any JCAPHO Certification a plus
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (early mornings/ late evenings), extended days due to surgery schedules and travel time
- Occasional overnight travel required - 2 to 3 nights per week during training
- Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record to drive a Company vehicle
- Ability to push, pull, and manipulate over 50 pounds of medical equipment
- Ability to operate a pallet jack

Additional Information
Compensation:
- Competitive bi-weekly salary PLUS overtime pay for over 40 hour work weeks
- $48,000/yr - $58,000/yr
