What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Generalist position at Fortegra?
The Human Resources Generalist will be primarily responsible for supporting the Human Resources Department in activities such as recruiting, employee relations, safety, employee services, program management, and day-to-day administrative duties. Additionally, assists with special projects by clarifying objectives, setting timetables, and establishing schedules.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of HR experience preferred.
- Experience in a professional office environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Team player with strong ability to work under tight deadlines and with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate with managers and associates at all levels.
- Must be able to handle confidential information.
Primary Job Functions:
- Assist with employee relations issues.
- Create and send out general announcements.
- Prepare onboarding.
- Conduct New Hire Orientation.
- Follow record retention program and maintain accurate department files.
- Order State, Federal & OSHA required posters for all office locations.
- Department office supply orders.
- Assist with various projects.
