Fortellar is poised and ready for serious growth we are a fully self-funded team who speaks to no one but ourselves. To date we have already grown our revenues by triple digit percentages over the last three years. Currently, nearly all of our sales have been single threaded through our founders, and we are ready to bring on our first dedicated Sr. Account Executive to drive our business development efforts, build our sales pipeline, and establish the bedrock for a scalable sales strategy. You will be key in expanding our market presence. This role is perfect for someone who is ready to break free from the crushing bureaucracy, build something from the ground up, and who brings deep expertise in selling technical services. As part of the executive team, you will be in the right place to influence our companys growth trajectory.
What You Will Do
Business Development :
- This is job #1build a pipeline and help craft engagement service solutions that deliver incredible value for our clients and Fortellar.
- This role will be quota-carrying. Anticipated year 1 quota is $5M .
- Drive deep relationships with prospects and leaders who seek the knowledge, guidance, and expertise that we have.
- Listen, observe key market trends and deeply understand the needs of our C-level buying personas
Sales Strategy and Execution :
Adapt a preferred sales methodology (Solution Selling, Challenger Sale, Trusted Advisor Selling, Value-Based Selling, Account-Based Selling)Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy, including prospecting, lead generation, and deal close.Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure sales effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.Market Research :
Stay informed on industry trends and emerging clients need to help shape go-to-market strategies.Provide actionable insights to refine service offerings and identify new business opportunities.Collaboration and Communication :
Partner with internal teams, including consulting and delivery, to ensure seamless transition from sales to execution.Work closely with leadership to align sales efforts with broader company goals.Pipeline and CRM Management :
Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools (e.g. HubSpot)Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of sales activities and outcomes.Required Skills
5 years in B2B sales, preferably in IT consulting, managed services, or related industries.Track record of meeting or beating sales goals in a start-up environment strong points for being the first AE previously.Deep understanding of the sales lifecycle, including prospecting, qualifying, presenting, negotiating, and closing.Demonstrated ability to craft compelling value propositions tailored to client needs.Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and communicate them effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to build processes, systems, and strategies from scratch.Able to travel up to 50% to engage with prospective clients in person.About Fortellar
