Position Purpose

Performs a variety of administrative and support duties related to front and back office Retail Operations. Complies with all Credit Union policies, procedures, and requirements. Required to work at any Credit Union location, which may include extended hours holidays, and Saturdays. Assists Information Systems Department in core system testing as needed. Performs other duties as assigned by the Regional Managers.

Essential functions and basic duties

  • Collects statistical data and compiles periodic reports, including weekly cross-sales statistics, monthly teller incentive report, and other such reporting functions as assigned.
  • Maintains inventory information for supplies as needed for deposit operations. Responsible for the replenishment of supplies after review of items for updates and approval for purchases. Forwards supply requests to Facilities for fulfillment.
  • Assists in maintaining the operations team channels of communication.
  • Leads Branch Reviews for Retail.
  • Serves as a backup for all departmental roles, ensuring seamless operation during staff absences, staffing shortages, or increased workloads.
  • Assists updating Operations policy and procedure manuals which may include compiling information, creating appropriate documents, preparing training materials, and disseminating information.
  • Maintains database and contact information for vendors, equipment, facilities, and contracts related to Operations functions. Assists with keeping information and processes current.
  • Assists in the review of quality assurance data for membership and account information. Ensures data integrity through report review and file maintenance when needed or assigned for correction and resolution. Informs supervisor of recurring situations indicating additional training needed or a misunderstanding of proper procedure.
  • Assists in research and resolution of member and operational issues. Informs Operations management using current system information, Synergy, Internet, and / or other resources needed to complete the assignment.
  • Participates in record retention and storage methods to include scanning, indexing, and quality control of account data records.
  • Satisfactorily completes all required compliance training. Complies with all regulations within the scope of the position to include Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering Act and USA Patriot Act compliance.
  • Attends and participates in all trainings, meetings, and committees as required.
  • Participates in community and civic events to promote awareness of the Credit Union in the community.
  • Work area and assigned equipment is clean, secure, and well-maintained.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS

  • Branch services are efficiently and effectively delivered in accordance with established Credit Union policies and standards.
  • Good business relations exist with members and their questions and problems promptly resolved.
  • Good working relations exist with Branch personnel. Assistance is provided as needed.
  • Required reports and records are accurate and timely.
  • Management is appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
  • Sales and Service Standards are met.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION :

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Four-year college degree in a business-related field preferred.
  • REEQUIRED KNOWLEDGE :

  • Working knowledge of Credit Union and financial industry developments, trends, programs, products and services, and systems.
  • Understanding of Credit Union field of membership.
  • EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Relationship Manager, Universal Banker, or similar role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of retail branch operations, audit functions, and regulatory and compliance standards.
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES :

  • Ability to accurately assess the cultural environment, exhibiting emotional intelligence and appropriate sensitivity while maintaining individuality.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Able to work in a cooperative manner with others.

  • Able to work with little or no supervision and always represent the Credit Union professionally.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to train, coach and mentor branch staff in the performance of Member Advisor duties.
  • Able perform as a Member Advisor within any branch, the Contact Center, and / or Consumer Lending in the event of staffing shortages.

  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Required to work at any Credit Union location that may include extended hours, holidays, or Saturdays.

  • Exerts up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and / or up to 10 lbs. frequently.

    Reasoning Ability :

  • Able to interpret a variety of technical instructions and can deal with multiple variables.
  • Mathematics Ability :

  • Ability to compute discount, interest, profit, and loss; commission markup and selling price; ratio and proportion and percentage.
  • Able to perform very simple algebra.
  • Language Ability :

  • Ability to read periodicals, journals, manuals, dictionaries, thesauruses, and encyclopedias.
  • Ability to prepare business letters, proposals, summaries, and reports using prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style.
  • Ability to conduct training, communicate at panel discussions and to make professional presentations.
