The Role
The Audit Manager will be responsible for a full array of audit & consulting services for our privately held company clients in various industries, including but not limited to real estate, investment / private equity, professional services, distribution companies, and not-for-profit organizations. In this highly visible and responsible role, the manager will assist clients in developing risk assessments, conduct audits, establish internal audit programs, and have frequent interaction with client teams, partners, and staff.
The role will oversee all responsibilities of the engagement staff while meeting the project deliverables and providing the highest quality of client service and satisfaction. The individual will also be expected to demonstrate industry experience, leverage client relationships, and be responsible for staff professional development. They must thrive in a fast-paced environment while effectively managing their time to meet deliverables with the highest professionalism and accountability.
Core Responsibilities
- Leads teams of seniors and staff accountants.
- Coaches / mentors individual team members.
- Develops business with both existing and new clients.
- Develops and maintains strong client relationships with client personnel and prospective clients.
- Provides business consulting to privately held businesses and organizations.
Education and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree; Master's degree a plus.CPA certificate.Must successfully pass a background check.Must be currently authorized to work in the United States full-time.Essential Functions
Oversees planning and scheduling of engagements.Ensures quality of work product.Monitors workflow.Provides formal and informal feedback.Communicates progress to partners.Identifies areas to help clients improve their internal controls.Works on transactional projects as needed.Participates and / or conduct technical training session as needed.Experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to identify and propose resolutions to complex accounting issues.Demonstrated advanced project management skills.Ability to utilize firm technology to enhance client service.Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer programs.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Working Conditions
