Role Overview :
As an Associate Engineer, you will work under the general supervision of the Senior Engineer or Manager of Transmission and Substation Engineering. Your primary focus will be the design and application of utility-grade relay systems for transmission and substation networks. You'll provide vital engineering support across various operations, enhancing reliability and safety.
Core Responsibilities :
- Implement and uphold company safety, health, and environmental programs, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Commit to fostering a proactive, customer-centric culture, enhancing trust and value for internal and external stakeholders.
- Apply knowledge of relay protection schemes for Transmission system protection and review relay / meter one-line diagrams, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Collaborate with Engineers and Senior Engineers to support field personnel in relay system testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Prepare outage reports and corrective action plans based on relay / DFR records.
- Conduct preliminary engineering cost estimates for feasibility studies and project alternatives.
- Participate in departmental meetings and committees, providing updates on project progress and departmental budgets.
- Engage in the company's Emergency Response Plan through a designated storm assignment.
