Job Description
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our Pharmacy Technician Program. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Program Director. The primary responsibility will be to teach Pharmacy courses. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director, and participate in department training, meetings, and graduation.
Requirements
- Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or Diploma; an associate degree is preferred.
- CPhT Certification
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to pharmacy operations.
- Experience in higher education/postsecondary education teaching is a plus.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and compounding techniques.
- Strong communication skills for effective patient interaction and education.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning within the pharmacy field.
