What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Instructor position at Fortis College?
Fortis College in Salt Lake City is currently interviewing for a Part-Time, skilled nurse educator to join our Nursing Faculty team. Immediate need is for an overnight clinical instructor.
Instruction
- Facilitate student learning, provide effective instruction, and perform evaluations of student learning for all assigned clinicals, labs, or simulated clinical experiences using each course's standard course outline as a guide.
- Supervise, debrief, and evaluate students in lab, clinical, SCE, and similar settings as appropriate for the course or program
- Meet all classes and other scheduled responsibilities such as scheduled clinical hours and meetings at the designated times.
Administrative
- Keep accurate attendance records, posting attendance in the portal and submitting attendance roster to the Academic Department for each class period in a timely manner
- Assign grades and maintain course/student records in accordance with FERPA regulations and submit grades and records by established deadlines
- Provide access to students for ongoing communication through scheduling of office hours, electronic communication and other appropriate methods
- Participate in student advising activities

Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or higher degree
- Unencumbered RN license in the State of Utah

Pay: $42.00 - $45.00 per hour
