Job Description
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach all aspects of medical billing and coding in our Medical Billing / Coding day program. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Program Director. The primary responsibility will be to teach insurance and coding courses. The typical teaching load is 1-2 courses each term. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director and participate in department training, meetings and graduation.
- At least three years of experience in the billing industry.
- Working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding.
- Medical Billing Software experience.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and current industry-related regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, motivated and results driven
- Prior teaching experience preferred
