Purpose:
All Fortis Energy Services, Inc. employees will be subject to a physical examination by a medical professional to determine their physical ability to perform the job for which they have been offered/assigned. A record of the evaluation will remain in the employees personnel file. The physical examination will be in addition to a pre-employment/post-offer drug screen and requirements detailed in the “new employee” orientation.
In addition, the Company reserves the right to obtain any/all documentation necessary to determine the employee or “prospective” employee demonstrates that they meet the qualification(s). This may include certifications, licensures, tests, analysis, assessments, etc.
Scope:
All Fortis Energy Services, Inc. employees will be evaluated to determine their competency and experience level. Fortis Energy Services, Inc. employees are subject to the SSE Short Service Employee policy that subjects employees to a mentor for a specified period of time when newly assigned and/or new in a specific position.
In combination with job specific training and the SSE policy, a determination will be made to determine when the employee is competent to perform their roles and responsibilities before being allowed to work alone. Because of varying education, experience and work experience levels, this period of time and SSE will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

OCCUPATION: Truck Driver
General Description of Occupation:
The Truck Driver's primary responsibility is to haul various oilfield equipment to and from location. Other duties will include some cleaning and maintenance of the facility and grounds. All duties are to be performed according to standard operating procedures in order to maximize the safety of all personnel at the worksite and to efficiently perform the task. The Truck Driver may be required to assist during rigging-up or down as needed. Conditions for this position may involve exposure to varying environmental conditions.
Required Skills
- Applicable knowledge of DOT Rules and Regulations
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record
- Basic knowledge of the oil field and related equipment associated
- Must have a current, valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years’ oilfield experience
- Solid mechanical understanding of standard oilfield equipment especially as it relates to minimum standards and best practices
Responsibilities:
- Safe and legal operation of a commercial motor vehicle
- Safe and timely transportation of equipment from origin to destination
- Proper loading and unloading of equipment to assure safety and minimal risk of damage to equipment and danger to people
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment at the beginning and end of each shift and report any problematic issues to Management immediately
- Professional representation of the company through responsible driving
- Availability to stay overnight out of town for up to 4 nights at a time. Flexibility to change plans on short notice is required.
- Flexibility to work-related travel to various locations depending on business requirements and client needs.
