POSITION SUMMARY:
Under limited supervision performs work of considerable difficulty in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment; performs related work as assigned.. Ensures the maintenance and readiness of all equipment and follows procedures to achieve this. Ensures shop is organized and kept clean.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Abides by all Safety and Operational Policies and Procedures.
- Documents the daily work assignments and records the work performed to ensure the shop is running as efficiently as possible.
- Inspects and maintains equipment and tools to diagnose problems and determine necessary repairs and damages to ensure they are working properly.
- Ensure that trucks returning from jobsites are washed, and that tools have been cleaned and tested, when needed.
- Delivery of parts to sites, as required by mechanic.
- Maintain inventory of equipment to meet needs and demands of the operation.
- Prepares time reports and other records.
- Performs routine scheduled maintenance on all equipment (rigs, catwalks, pumps, swivels, etc)
- Observes mechanical devices in operation and diagnoses problems by sight and sound to resolve issues
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
- Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts
- Repairs or replaces defective parts
- Repairs basic electrical equipment
- Comply all with HSE policies and procedures during the course of work
- Ensures full awareness of (and compliance with) requirements of relevant company/customer HSE handbooks, HSE procedures, and emergency procedures
- Welds fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble or repair structural forms such as machinery frames, skids, tanks
- Lubricates and cleans parts
- Requests parts and machines to be ordered as needed
- Communicate with both office staff and all levels of management.
- Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Pro ENRG Services.
- Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
- Observes safety and security procedures; Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
