General Description of Occupation:
The Wireline Operator works on a wireline unit or crane and is responsible for servicing oil and
gas wells. Their duties include driving the equipment, assisting in rigging-up and down,
operating crane trucks, making up tools, handling explosives, and any other duties assigned. All
duties are to be performed according to operating procedures to maximize safety and to
efficiently perform the task.
Work schedule: Varies
Time allowed for breaks and meals: No formal times established; breaks
and meals are taken when
appropriate and safe to do so
Training: All training is performed in-house by Safety
personnel and outside vendors, as needed.
Essential Functions of Job:
? Load out supplies and necessary equipment for upcoming jobs
? Driving equipment to/from the location
? Assist in rigging up/down equipment
? Carry out assembly/tear down operations on hardware used to perform the wireline job
including setting tools, perforating guns, tools, etc.
? Handle explosives in a safe manner as instructed by the safety training.
? Clean all equipment after the completion of a job and report any mechanical issues.
Training: All training is performed in-house by Safety personnel and outside vendors, as
needed.
Physical Requirements of Job:
