Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Own, lead and manage the branch operational accounting team, including invoicing, cash application, collections, and AP.
- Supervise the operational accounting team at Boynton Beach location.
- Act as a working supervisor to help manage workload imbalances across the team.
- Document processes and promote cross-training among the team.
- Partner with Branch Leadership to ensure proper cash management.
- Automate processes and develop best practices, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Utilize and optimize the capabilities of the ERP system (ACT/Q360) for efficient accounts receivable and cash collection processes.
- Prepare and review accounts receivable aging reports weekly and other financial reports as needed.
- Support measurement of departmental performance through data, metrics and KPI’s.
- Improve key metrics such as DSO, % of Aged AR, Past Due Collections, and Time to Invoice.
- Improve key metrics such as DPO.
- Conduct performance evaluations and identify opportunities for skill development.
- Lead departmental projects and other tasks as assigned.
- Helps improve cash flow and reduce bad debt expense.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 10%.
- In-office position at the Boynton Beach, FL location.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of progressive operational accounting experience, including: accounts receivable, collections, cash application, credit, invoicing, and AP, including at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
- B.S. in Accounting, Finance or equivalent with a GPA of 3.25 .
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
- High attention to details and accuracy.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Managed 5 staff members
- Managed geographically dispersed team
- Previous experience in the fire safety or construction fields
- Experience with POC/WIP accounting
Compensation $65,000 - $80,000 annually
Physical Requirements
