We are currently seeking a Fire Sprinkler System Project Manager. This position is responsible for the management of fire sprinkler projects. The position will interface with multiple departments including the sales team to successfully drive projects through to completion. The project manager will thoroughly document all stages of the project as they are happening and identify any critical paths or milestones that may not be able to be achieved. This position will report directly to the fire sprinkler department manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Meet with sales team as necessary prior to project sale to identify any potential project issues.
- Accurately layout and define project schedule in project management software and define project requirements.
- Forecast labor hours based upon budgeted allotment for month labor will be utilized.
- Complete progress billings as required.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients on assigned projects.
- Monitor assigned projects following established guidelines to ensure they are completed as efficiently as possible.
- Communicate with team members regarding project needs.
- Identify Change Orders and properly communicate to respective parties.
- Attend any and all required jobsite meetings. If unable to attend, coordinate with Sprinkler Manager a suitable replacement.
- Coordinate directly with onsite field labor and provide direction to successfully complete the project.
- Coordinate material deliveries between onsite resources and supply chain.
- Routinely visit the job site to provide updates in our Friday morning meetings and to provide accurate billing information for true % of completion.
- Send necessary Close Out Documents.
- Coordinate AHJ inspections with permitting department.
- Breakout blueprints for technicians based on estimate breakout and review plan with technicians.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience in the fire sprinkler industry is required, project management is preferred
- Able to operate independently with minimal direct supervision
- Must build positive working relationships with multiple levels of employee and management across departments.
- Demonstrate integrity and professionalism.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Must prioritize in a fast-paced multi-task environment.
- Must demonstrate ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- NICET certification in Fire Sprinkler System is preferred.
Compensation $90,000/year depending on experience
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the Team member is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The Team member is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The Team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and climb stairs, or balance. The Team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
