Position Overview
The BA/QA Analyst ensures high-quality deliverables by bridging business requirements with technical execution. This dual-role specialist translates stakeholder needs into testable criteria while rigorously validating cross-platform functionality, integrations, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Analysis & Requirements
- Elicit Requirements: Collaborate with product owners and end-users to define business objectives, user stories, and acceptance criteria for features/integrations.
- Gap Analysis: Identify discrepancies between coded functionality and business expectations, proposing solutions to align deliverables with organizational goals.
- UAT Leadership: Design and facilitate user acceptance testing sessions, ensuring stakeholder sign-off on critical workflows.
Quality Assurance
- Test Strategy: Develop multi-platform test plans covering functional, regression, and integration scenarios, emphasizing risk-based testing.
- Automation: Implement test automation (Selenium/Postman) for repetitive tasks and CI/CD pipeline integration (Jenkins/GitHub Actions).
- Defect Resolution: Log, prioritize, and track issues using Azure DevOps, collaborating with developers to resolve root causes.
- Artifact Management: Maintain test scripts, requirement traceability matrices, and audit-ready documentation.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with Product Owners to translate business vision into testable requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Negotiate technical and business trade-offs to resolve gaps between coded functionality and stakeholder expectations.
- Communicate risks, defects, and progress to cross-functional teams using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Stakeholder Reporting: Deliver executive summaries on release readiness, defect impact, and user-experience risks.
Process Improvement
- Refine test cases and suites based on defect trends, user feedback, and evolving business processes.
- Champion QA best practices, including risk-based testing, test coverage optimization, and release readiness frameworks.
- Support data integrity and integration testing for multi-system environments.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive test artifacts (scripts, logs, dashboards) to ensure audit readiness and knowledge sharing.
- Deliver metrics-driven insights on quality, defect density, and user-impacting issues to leadership.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3 years of QA experience in multi-platform environments (e.g., CRM, ERP, custom apps), with expertise in integration testing.
- Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman) and methodologies (Agile/Scrum).
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills to balance technical constraints with business needs.
- Exceptional communication for translating complex technical issues into actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Experience with API testing and understanding of microservices architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in QA (ISTQB), BA (CBAP), Agile (CSM/PSPO).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, or JavaScript for test scripting and data validation.
