Fortis Institute in Lawrenceville, NJ is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Electrical Trades Instructor. This is a part-time position paying $24.05/hr. Candidates should have 3 or more years of experience in the field and a journeyman license. Teaching experience is preferred but not required.
The responsibilities of an Instructor include but are not limited to:
- classroom and lab instruction,
- grading,
- preparing progress reports, and
- preparing students for a rewarding career in the electrical field.
Candidate should have experience in one or more areas of the coursework taught in the program:
- Priciples of Electricity
- Low Voltage Principles & Standards
- Electronics for Electricians
- National Electrical Code Principles & Applications
- Residential Circuitry & Design
- Residential Construction & Branch Circuits
- Eelctricity Essentials: 3-phase Power & Transformers
- Motor Controls & Maintenenace
- Commercial & Industrial Circuits
- Commercial & Industrial Controllers
- Home Integration
Classes are offered mornings and evenings: 8am to 1pm or 6pm to 11pm Monday - Friday.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 per hour
