We are currently looking for an Inside Sales Representative for Vector Biolabs in Malvern, PA. A subsidiary of Fortis Life Sciences, Vector Biolabs specializes in custom production of recombinant adenoviral and AAV vectors for the scientific community to support development efforts for novel gene therapies.
This position will report to the Business Development Manager and be responsible for engaging with prospective and existing customers to promote and sell company products and services within the Fortis Gene Therapy portfolio. This role will also be responsible for key sales enablement activities.
Responsibilities
- Follow-up on in-bound sales inquiries, qualifying leads to determine customer needs and potential opportunities for sales conversion.
- As the first point of contact for inbound inquiries, triage client requests and collaborate with internal teams, including Application Scientists, Business Development Manager, and the Business Operations team to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Effectively manage and track customer interactions in Salesforce, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Provide support during the sales process with the goal of driving revenue growth, increasing awareness at key accounts within the territory.
- Use data enablement tools to drive revenue growth in net new accounts and expand existing business.
- Identify customers for potential collaborations.
- Partner with marketing, business development and R&D to identify and assess potential value drivers using the existing portfolio.
- Provide feedback on market trends and competitive activity to support business strategy.
- Capture the voice of the customer by gathering client feedback and sharing data to interpret customer needs and expectations.
- Play a key role in positioning products and services based upon scientific, technical and competitive principles.
- Maintain a strong understanding of company offerings, industry trends, and customer business drivers to provide consultative sales support.
- Participate in customer visits and scientific conferences.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field.
- 2 years of experience with cell and gene therapy and/or CDMO experience, or similar background.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in inside sales, lead generation, or customer engagement roles in the life sciences.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools; experience with multichannel sales approaches is a plus.
- SalesForce experience beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $70,000-$78,000/year
Benefits: Fortis benefits includes a success-sharing bonus plan, medical, dental, disability, and life insurances, 401(k) plan, Paid Time Off (PTO), paid holidays, and more.
Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel at least once per quarter.
