Description
As a Pouching Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for assuring the quality of the finished pouches as they come off the pouching lines. You will also be responsible for verifying that the correct amount of pouches is in each stack and placing them in the box correctly for shipping.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform quality check on all pouches
- Ensure correct quantity is delivered to customer
- Monitor the print, die cut and sealing quality of pouch and give feedback to pouching operator
- Manage the packaging and core tagging of the product
- Follow instructions listed on the traveler
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Complete required paper work
- Additional duties as required
Qualifications
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- High School (GED)
- 1-year similar work experience preferred
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Self-motivated, pro-active and able to read printed instructions
- Take responsibility for costs associated to the Pouching Department by reducing waste and eliminating reworks and claims.
- Communicate in a clear and concise manner.
- Work cooperatively with others
- Exhibit ability to solve problems and think creatively
- Read and write English with sufficient proficiency to follow written instructions, read warning labels on chemical solvents
- Ensure every job matches the information provided on the work ticket
Training Requirements:
- Willing to attend required training courses or sessions related to the job as assigned
Physical Demands:
- Lift up to 25 pounds routinely (numerous times per hour)
- Lift occasionally up to 50 pounds (several times per day) and up to 75 pounds with assistance
- Ability to operate machinery safely
- Walking, standing throughout the day as necessary to perform job duties
- Frequent bending, pushing, and pulling
- Pass a pre-employment drug test and subject to random drug screening.
Work Environment:
- Regular exposure to dust and noise in the production environment.
- Warehouse environment temperatures may be influenced by outside temperatures.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Adhere to company PPE requirements as indicated, per position.
