Cage Marker Vault Cashier (Bell Gardens, CA.)

Love working with numbers? Parkwest Bicycle Casino is looking to hire a Marker Vault Cashier for our Cage Department. 

As a Marker Vault Cashier you will maintain accountability for all cash, chips, and departmental debits and credits on a per shift basis. Prepare bank deposits on a daily basis.  Please see rest of job duties below. 

 

Responsibilities

Exchange chips, cash and miscellaneous items to include credits to Satellite, Pavilion, Plaza Gold Room and Main Cage windows.

Maintains accountability for all checks cashed within the casino.

Balances marker accounts daily on aper shift basis.

Balances players’ bank accounts daily on a per shift basis.

Maintains accountability of all Players’ Bank deposits and withdrawals within the casino.

Micro encodes markers and credit line checks sent to bank for collection.

Prepares the daily bank deposits of checks.

Responsible and accountable for Chips/Cash Fund as assigned at the window during shift.

Reviews surveillance tapes on his/her window shortage/overage when assigned by Supervisor.

Must be able to work with minimal supervision in high-volume, team member-only windows of all cages.

Ensures economical use of equipment, supplies and facility.

Ensures area is maintained in safe condition.

Must be available to work any shift including weekends/holidays.

Assists in training new employees as needed.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass mandatory screening which may include a background and credit check, and drug test.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a current California gambling establishment team member permit, badge or license.
• Must demonstrate basic math and financial skills.
• Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.
• Good organizational and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
• Excellent skills in customer relations.

Education:

High school diploma, G.E.D or equivalent. Associate’s degree preferred.

 

Experience:

At least one year of cash-handling experience.

 

Physical and Mental Requirements:
